We do not guarantee that the car rental company’s model you get at the time of pick up is 100% identical to the one shown in the picture when you ordered. However we do guarantee a great driving experience by making only the new models available to you. All the cars in the displayed catalog comply with safety norms, driving comfort and environment friendliness. In the step 2 of the booking phase, you will be provided with all the details necessary relating to your rental car. The information will also be sent to your e mail address which can be read for later.

One-way Car Rental

You can avail the feature of a one way rental in any part of the world through our booking platform. There are considerably higher charges for one way rentals. However if you drop the car at the same source from where you began, charges are much more reasonable. The additional surcharge has to be borne by the customer who buys the car rental.

What is included in rent?

Your car rental does not only come with a car. There are many freebies which you may get if you are lucky. Some common options every customer gets include insurance cover and any other accessory specially asked for. All the details regarding additional benefits will be displayed in the "rent details" on the order page before you make your final payment. Insurance

Your rental car usually comes with an included insurance benefit. However the benefits may vary depend on your choice of car. To check which insurance cover is already included in your rental car, you may click on “Rent details” (Step 2 in ordering phase). In usual cases of car rental the below listed insurance policies come included:

1. Collision damage waiver (CDW)

2. Theft waiver (TW)

3. Third party liability protection (TP)

4. Risk Insurance (RI)

You can also buy an insurance cover pre hand from Mondial Assistance through our pages to cover any sort of charges for deductibles. Please note that some travel insurances already cover deductibles. Kindly check with your travel insurance policy or your credit card before you order insurance.

Pickup / delivery:

In usual cases, you will have to deliver your cheap rental car at the same place as where you picked it up not to mention with a full tank, but if you wish to change the location of the delivery, you need to declare it in advance on the web site so that the rental company is pre informed regarding the delivery place. When you order online, tick off "other delivery place?” in the search box and enter the place you want to deliver the car. However, please keep in mind that this service will attract an additional cost. To pick up or deliver the rental car on the private addresses are in principle not possible.

What should be paid upon pickup / delivery?

Everything that will be a part of your cheap rental cars and not limited to features such as seat, seat cushion, more drivers, ski box, chains etc needs to be declared by the car rental company official and signed as received by the customer. This declaration acts as a proof wherein you are aware of what you are getting for the price and so while returning you can cross check that you are not charged for any other extra entity. In case you feel you have been charged with any additional expenses which are not valid, please contact the car rental company immediately to avoid any misunderstandings. This is at the sole discretion of the customer.

Identification / ticket

In order to retrieve the rental car from the car rental company official at the time of pick up you need to present some valid documents to ensure your authenticity. The required documents include your credit card (with name encrypted) which has been used to book the rental car, your valid driver’s license (local/international) and your printed invoice which you get after finalizing your booking and making the payment on Cheap-Rental-Cars.com. In case you do not possess a credit card in your name, it is advisable to you to pay through your own debit card (with name encrypted). When using debit card, please make sure to declare the same in the online form in the step 2 of the “lease details”. American express, Diners club, Master card and Visa credit cards are verified secure credit cards and are supported at the payment gateway.

Extra insurance

Cheap-Rental-Cars.com offers additional insurance through Mondial Assistance. This facility is provided exclusively to customers of rental-car. info and provides assistance in charges in the form of deductibles should an accident happen resulting in damage to the rental car. In case you are completely rejecting the car, after an accident, the insurance cover runs up to 5000$. There are many different schemes which can be taken for security issues ranging from 2000$ to 20000$ depending on the per day charges. The general insurance provided through our pages includes broken windows, tires, undercarriage, roof or loss of keys. The insurance costs less than $ 50 per day to cover deductibles of up to 10000 $.

The car dealer can withhold all of the deposit when you check out with your rental car in case of any damage to rental car. This money will be refunded if you have drawn even risk insurance through Mondial Assistance with us. (You can cover the deposit that is usually included when you rent a car). To receive a refund of the deposit you must submit a copy of the injury report, copy of rental agreement and a copy of bank statement showing that deposit money is deducted from your account. If a third party is involved in an accident then you must submit a police report. Although risk insurance does not cover damage to personal property or persons in the car, any Injuries caused by inconsiderate traffic or damage caused due to driving in the intoxicated state are covered.

What details are included in Invoice?

Normally your invoice consists of all the details which come included in the car rental. In general, the rental includes local taxes, location fees, liability insurance, collision insurance, theft insurance and unlimited mileage.

Damage / accident / mechanical problems

In case of a mechanical problem arising in your rental car during your travel, you must immediately contact the rental car company. The rental car company may either send you a brand new car for travel at no extra charges or if the mechanical default can be corrected, the needful will be done. Failure to inform the car rental company within 24 hours of defect will lead to further documentation and delay. In case of any damage caused to the rental car because of reckless driving you will have to fill out an accident report with the rental car dealer. If you get involved in an accident involving a third party, it is advisable for you to call the police and obtain a police report. Please keep all documents ready for verification.

Car dealer

The name and address of your rental car dealer will be clearly mentioned on your invoice. Any additional information such as e mail address, contact numbers etc will also be provided subject to availability. In case the car dealer you get is located near or at the airport, chances are you can contact him through his own counter at the airport.

Delayed flights

In case you have opted to rent a car through an airport and have also selected airport as your pick up point, nothing like it if your flight reaches in time. But in case your flight is delayed due to certain reasons, kindly notify the rental car dealer about the same in order to avoid any extra charges or cause any inconvenience. In most cases, you will not be charged if delay in less than 12 hours, however it varies from one car dealer to another. Notify delay to the car dealer.

Child seat

A feature of child seat is made available in all major car rental companies. However they come for a charge which is usually higher. In case you possess a child seat you are recommended to bring your own. For booking a child seat from the rental company you will need to declare it in advance to make proper arrangements. Child seats for larger children should be brought by the customer.

International driving license

It is mandatory for you to carry your driving license as a part of the official documentation required before you are given the keys to your rental car. If you are driving outside the European Union, it is mandatory for you to have an international driving license. An international driving license is a translation of your local driving license. In case you already possess an international driving license, you are advised to carry your original local driving license in addition as well. Countries which demand an international driving license among others include Russia, Turkey, Monaco and Moldova.

Additional Driver

Additional Driver can also be booked on arrival. In case some one else is also going to drive your rental car in addition to you, a nominal surcharge has to be paid before hand to the car rental company. The surcharge which is levied for the service availability is usually in the range of 10 – 12 $. Please note that the surcharge levied may vary from country to country and also during different months of the year. You can also pay the charges on arrival in most cases.

Age

Age restrictions will appear on your car rental booking / invoice. If you are under 25 years old or over 65 please contact us by uncertainty / question. Even if you are under 25 years of age, you will most likely be able to rent a car. But you will have to bear an additional surcharge at the car rental company as an enhanced security measure. Car rental companies usually add this feature for their own benefit of vehicle security. Step 2 of the booking process includes every sort of information related to fees or age restrictions. Security Deposit

This is a general feature which every car dealer applies before parting with his rental cars. When retrieving the rental car, the car company will block a certain amount on the customer’s credit card to cover any costs for the rental car signifying any damages. The deposit is returned if you deliver the car in the same condition as you initially got it. The amount varies somewhat from one car dealer to another. Please check with your car dealer for the same.

Delivery before time

It is always better to deliver the car before your time, back to the car rental company to avoid any greater expenses. However if you have already made a booking for 5 days and you return the rental car within 3 day, most car rental companies will not return you the charge for the remaining 2 days as it has already been paid for.
